  • How to measure your grip size:

    Open your hand with the palm facing you. There are 3 creases on your palm, one going through the middle. This is where the center of your palm is. Measure the distance from the tip of the longest finger down to this point. It will be somewhere between 4” and 5” on average.

For example James (also known as Big Jim) is 6’5” and has a 5” measurement.

Most paddle handles would be in the region of 4” to 4.5”. If you have the handle too thick it can put more strain on your wrist and the same applies for having it too thin. One does tend to have a grip just slightly thinner in a pickleball paddle than a tennis grip though.
